300 yards to the treeline, 200 yards safe backstop limit, and 40 minutes to sundown. I spooked a good buck in this field the other evening. Here's hoping he makes an appearance tonight! If not, well, who could complain on an evening like this!?!

I have to confess to being spoiled rotten with this ground. It's literally two minutes from home! I'm very sensible of the huge privilege I have!

Another couple of photos West, and East. The grass margin has just been sown and rolled over the last 24 hours. I'm hoping the disturbed soil will pique some curiosity from the roe

Well, the gods decided to favour another this evening. Spotted the buck. 300 yards away on the treeline, of course. Absolutely no question of a shot. At least we were both in the same field, anyway There's always next time
