They are good rifles KimE!I put a bid at an auction for a 94ae in .307w a few years back didn`t get it I didn`t want it enough.
The way I read it is that a 30- 30 rifle is class 2 but certain ammo would make it class 1. It would be trying to convince the police that the 30- 30 rifle is class 1. I'm not sure the hassle with the police outways the benefit of having a class 1 .30-30 are class 1 with Hornady leverevolutions or handloaded. With the change to 2000j/100m with copper its even easyer to get to class1.
There was an original Model 71 for sale at the last gun show I went to . It was in incredibly good shape , had a vintage Lyman aperture rear sight ................. and a price tag to match . It sold in less than an hour for $ 3,500 CDN . People are still willing to pay for a quality lever action . The Miruko manufactured Browning Model 71's are just as nice IMHO , and sell for about a thousand dollars less . I can't even remember the last time I saw a 7-30 Waters chambered 94 . It's too bad it didn't catch on , it was a very useful cartridge .Manufacturers seem to be pushing these plastic lever actions - perhaps widen the appeal? I'm not a fan.
Model 71 in .348 is all that is required or the 1894 in 7-30 Waters if you want more reach and less recoil.
Or the 25-35, that would of done everything over here!7-30 Waters chambered 94 . It's too bad it didn't catch on , it was a very useful cartridge .
Model 71 is a wonderful rifle, long tang/short tang, both are great. Miroku did well with their interpretation. They made a great 1885 Hi Wall as well. There was an original Model 71 for sale at the last gun show I went to . You are right. My bad I've missed the changes that have been made. Its not the police who decides the legal limit its Naturvårdsverket, you can load a short barrel 6,5*55 with a 140gr Nosler partition and its probably a class2 cartridge, load a 156gr Alaska and its class1 put a fmj in it and its class3.
Skytteservice Ängelholm sells Boarbusters and other Pedersoli rifles.
I have seen Valmets 12g/25-35 for sale but they are called 6,5*52r, Some Husqvarna single shot rifles also show up some times.Or the 25-35, that would of done everything over here!

Awesome, £80!! Wow
My favorite gun shop. Bought quite a bit from them and nearly always get a discount. Last time I was in there they had several lever actions on the shelf . They have many thousands of guns in stock. Plus about 25 tons of ammo and normally a good selection of reloading stuff.Awesome, £80!! Wow
I always thought 25-35 was a true.257"![]()
