Just received a Davide Pedersoli Droptine .30-30 Lever Gun for Testing

I quite like the look of that drop tine.

Plastic stock is practical. Vertical adjustment for difference in cheek height required for irons vs an optic.

I wouldn’t bother with the side mounted optic, again as others have said I’d go scout scope or red dot on that very handy (if purist upsetting) rail.

Chambering in 30-30 is understandable for US market and Pedersoli have a lot of experience and capacity for making 1886/71 actions.

Where I think it would be really cool would be chambered in 307 and 356 W.

356 with a red dot would be a great boar gun in my view.

Yes it would be a great rifle with an Aimpoint, but not if you can get a 94 for half of its cost. .356w would be great but the industry push are for 360 Buckhammer a straight wall cartridge wery close in peformance to .356w and 35rem.

It’s the look of despair when you have to put them together the first time that always cheers me up
They are simple and only go back together one way and logically.
A Browning BLR is a fiddle, not a Winchester 94. The BLR was designed by Browning after an argument with his Mrs.
The 94 just after his honeymoon 😂.

I'm not familiar with offset scopes like this one. Is yor eyeline to the left of the barrel ( like a Bren gun) or is the mount double cranked to bring it back in line with the barrel.
