Kamikaze Badger Takes Out Landrover Exhaust

Couldn’t avoid the poor wee thing due to the Ford Ranger tailgating me. Thought all was well until I heard rattling and found Ol’ Brock had managed to do what 20-years of rust could not. Namely separate the rear pipe from the middle box!

😠

When vehicles tailgate me I gently slow down. Basically the complete opposite of what they desire.
When they eventually pass, warning (!), Do slow down more incase of weird behaviour of cutting you up as though it was something clever to do, I give them a big thumbs up with a cross eyed grinning face.
I like to drive looking forward, my attention not directed arsewards at an arse!

Once had a Mercedes estate written off due to one. Went under the engine, smashed the underside of fan, cracked the sump and split one of the wishbones, steering arm broke off and car ended roadside.

Since using thermal have learnt one or two things about them one been the speed and distance they can travel when out and about. Have a good vantage point where I will sit for a shot at a fox and can see a long way on arable and they can really shift with unbroken pace for many fields or out of view. If wind in favour get them within a few yards but if they get one touch of wind will stop sample wind (sniff🤪) and leg it.

Some years ago we got one with the land cruiser at 60mph on a long straight. It was flung across the road it didn't walk!
If you hit one at that speed in a modern car then it's a right off.
Also agree badgers can certainly shift if they need to and when on a mission can certainly cover alot of ground quite quickly.

Why don’t you just remove the rear view mirror?
You clearly have no use for it.

Driving around deliberately goading other road users isn’t?
Are you a secret tail gater?
I don't goad anyone. If anything I prevent them from rear ending me. I don't brake harshly. I simply slow down slowly so they can pass.
Like usual you have presumed in a negative way against me which says more about you than it does me.

If someone needs to be somewhere important get up earlier. The funny thing is that these imposing tail gating drivers usually go slower than me when they do pass! And if they do leave me I usually catch them up at the next junction, lights or traffic!
So now who looks the tit?

That’d still be you.
That may well be true but I guarantee you one thing dungeater, if you tailgate me you won't be going as quick as you want.
So what would be your next move? Aggressive driving?
Still sure of your moral high ground?

So how come most vehicles rear ending others get prosecuted for driving with undue care and attention? Do you think a defence of " the driver in front was driving slower than I wanted" would work do you?

Go on, keep digging.....
