L200 review

I use an L200 for work and it's fine off road to a degree, but not a patch on my defender if the going gets tough in any way. But the L200 is without doubt a far more civilized drive.

I have a Video that would beg to differ with that. Annoyingly I can’t make that video public just yet I’m afraid. But one day soon!

I had a new Toyota Invincible fairly recently as my company car, I bought it without seeing it and was a bit annoyed to find out it was basically the same as my L200 I was currently driving, although I had ordered the 3.0L Auto which made driving a lot better than with the incredibly heavy clutch on the L200. It performed well but to be honest I wasn't all that sorry to see it go when I retired and when I went back to my old 2007 X-Trail Aventura it seemed so much more user-friendly.
I recently spent four days in Scotland in treacherous icy conditions and spent at least two days constantly in 4WD, the old X-Trail performed brilliantly and although I would love a big pickup again, I just cant bear to part with the X-Trail, it has served me well for 50k and it can stay till it drops, or I do.

Now ....if only they kept the x-trail as it was without changing to the new useless shape .....
& if only the had it all wheel drive with option of a low box .....if that’s possible !
What a motor
