Probably safest not to.Having said that, I certainly won't be prancing around @VSS farm in a fancy dress wolf suit.

Unfortunately , Feral dogs , and cats , are a problem out here . My cousin is a RCMP officer in northern Alberta , a large part of his job is shooting Feral dogs . He actually has a contract with one of the larger Cree reservations to shoot dogs year round , he gets paid per animal . There are a number of fatalities every year from dog attacks in these areas , usually children . As I've mentioned before , there is a zero tolerance policy here for non native species . Any dog at large on public land will be shot on sight . If the owner can be identified , they will be charged . If convicted , the fines can exceed $ 20,000 CDN . This woman was obviously a moron , but no one seems to be asking why a dog was running loose in the first place . Just a thought .There's more on this and, althogh she may have misidentified the animal as a wolf, reading up further I think the woman did right (even if in error). Feral dogs are not a joke.
Pretty much my original thought then, there's people out there that are supposed to deal with it versus the general hunting public. My cousin is a RCMP officer in northern Alberta , a large part of his job is shooting Feral dogs .
On a bit of a tangent , any dog at large here on public land will usually be shot , I think it's the same in Montana , I could be wrong . That being said , she's an idiot .

Woman’s clearly not fit to hold firearms. Not because she shot a wild dog I think that’s a given as much as I find it distasteful they are a menace in areas and having seen a pack of about 100 wild ones in Macedonia going at it once it’s a scary proposition. The fact she skinned it and posted it on Facebook shows she’s clearly thick as fck with colossal lapses in judgement and challenges on identification doesn’t seem fit to be allowed guns.
The out pouring will make those whos job it is to control the wild dog numbers very difficult with the tree huggers.
Not really . It's the same as feral pigs , if you see one , our RCMP or Natural Resource officers will tell you to shoot it . They're spread pretty thin and can't be everywhere at once . To be honest , if you did phone them , they'd tell you to stop wasting their time and deal with it yourself . It's a little different out here than the UK .Pretty much my original thought then, there's people out there that are supposed to deal with it versus the general hunting public.
Land is large in the USA too if there's a dog around call the appropriate number and move locations.
Shoot the black wolf! Quickly!!here is a identification pic for confused women hunters, one is a wolf and one shows wolf next to dog
Dog is the black one, hide available for loan, dog not
No , it's a melanistic Polar Bear .............. or a cleverly disguised Sasquatch , sneaky b@stard .Shoot the black wolf! Quickly!!![]()
True enough . Killing Feral dogs has always been controversial , this won't help . It's an accepted practice here and in Australia , who have a far larger problem than we do , but a lot of people equate wild dogs with household pets . Obviously , they're not , but it raises a lot of protest anyway . They usually go quiet after a fatality though , which happens on a fairly regular basis in Canada .Woman’s clearly not fit to hold firearms. She is a grade 9 idiot for sure. I would have thought anyone smart enough to see light could tell a wolf from a dog, however one of my nieces was unable to do so in Ottawa a few years back. The wolf was in a parking lot near her mothers home. The surrounding land is mixed woodland. I never would have thought a wolf would enter a major city.I think we can all agree she’s an idiot and an even bigger idiot to post this.
Do we know more about it? Which State? Is it legal to hunt wolves in said state? Public or private land? Did she have a wolf tag if legal? Did she have a hunting licence and had taken the hunter education course?
So many unanswered contextual questions but clearly an idiot.
I've often wondered the same about this site. The first thing that pops up at the top of the page is "latest media" which primarily consists of a lot of pointless pics of dead deer, which are of no significance to anyone other than the person who shot them.In all seriousness though, why does anyone post hunting pics of shot quarry (correctly ID'd or otherwise) on FB? What do they expect to get from it other than grief?
I like to see them.I've often wondered the same about this site. The first thing that pops up at the top of the page is "latest media" which primarily consists of a lot of pointless pics of dead deer, which are of no significance to anyone other than the person who shot them.
I could understand it if they were interspersed with plenty of pics of good venison cookery and stuff like that, but heading up the site with a row of carefully posed dead deer is a bit of a turn off for any casual visitor who's sitting on the fence, and runs contrary to the image we try to portray.I like to see them.
Some are more tasteful than others, but I think it’s nice to share in other peoples success. Nobody is forcing anyone to seek out this website and look at the pics of dead deer.

That's fine on a specialist site like this where it's expected. Where you're talking to like-minded people and where there's expertise to provide balance to wondering trolls. But banging up laughing trophy pics on FB and inviting a billion ignoramuses to wade in and vent is just bizarre.I like to see them.
