Landig or Huntsman chiller?

Which is best if you were looking at an Lu9000 or the single door Huntsman type chiller? They seem similar price. Any tips appreciated.

I bought a second hand Huntsman as my first chiller and I am very happy with it. Cannot compare to Landig as I’ve not had one.

Having a chiller has made a big difference to me, allowed me to stalk more and shoot more, gives me the flexibility I need for timing the processing of animals.

Also proved very useful for both game birds, wildfowl and wine. Not necessarily in that order 😃

Thanks, I really want a decent chiller that can hold up to 4 roe. As you say, it will take the pressure off having to process the animals quickly. I often don't go out shooting until I've finished sorting out the last one at the moment!

Yes this exactly. Owning a chiller really is liberating ! Worth every penny. IMO. Just gives me so much more time to find a home for a deer, whether in my freezer or some one else’s.

I am on my 8th year of running the Landig LU10000 it's been brilliant so far, running costs also very acceptable it will manage six sika comfortably and four decent reds at a push, mind you I've had as many as 8 sika squashed into it on occasion.

Down side is I could do with it being bigger you can never have to much room, also buying it now it's very expensive, I got mine directly from manufacturer at a considerable saving shipped directly.

All in an excellent investment well made in all stainless, it should hopefully do a long time mines in perfect condition and has done a lot of work no regrets buying it and just couldn't operate without it.

I have a landig lu9000 very happy external drain is great fits easily 3 of hinds or 5-6 roe or most I’ve had is a stag and 4 roe

I often don't go out shooting until I've finished sorting out the last one at I’ve had mine for a few years and the maximum I’ve had is 5 roe, could probably have squeezed in 6. Just switch it on when I need it and quickly gets down to temperature.
Not seen a huntsman but I’ve had a LU7000 for a few years. The maximum I’ve had in it is 5 roe, could have squeezed in 6. I just switch it on when I need it and it’s quickly down to temperature. Build quality seems good and the three hanging rails are handy. Easy to clean aswell through the bottom drain.
