Large rifle safe that's wide yet shallow?

Does anyone know of a rifle safe that will take an honest 7 scoped rifles and a shotgun or two, that's relatively wide and shallow?
Am currently using an Infac safe that supposedly takes 16 guns, but only just fits the above. It's external dimensions are 1500mm tall x 400mm depth x 450mm width.
I'm looking for similar volume, but now needing to fit into a space 1450mm tall x 350mm depth x 650mm width.
Trying to avoid spending crazy money if possible.
Thanks in advance.

Once upon a time, Brattonsound made me a custom gun cupboard. They took a standard model and reduced the depth so that it would fit inside my bedroom cupboard.

I take the scopes off of mine before putting them in the cabinet. That way I get more in easily

Watching this with interest. In the market for somthing silimar. See the thread I started recently - Large capacity cabinets

plus the following links to supplier websites that I found when search sd for previous similar threads. These came from sd member in old threads hartmann-tresore.de

I have no experience of these, there is also Maverick Gun Safes | Fort Knox Europe Ltd but will cost a fair bit. My current thinking is to buy a second bs rifle safe.

Take a look at Westlander's Pioneer range.

Gun Safes - Westlander Limited

I think they are made in Czechia.

I have the IV-6, which is notionally 11 guns with top box. You'd get 11 shotguns in it. Or the same number of rifles, if you mount the 'scopes on QD rings and take them off. Currently £350.

It is however 1562mm tall so won't fit your requirements. Also quite shallow, 320mm deep, of which the door thickness takes up a fair amount With putting in the rifles twisted diagonally, top and tailing also, it works for me. Seven just fit in there. 536 mm wide which fits concealed sideways-on inside a built in wardrobe, bolted to the outside wall, full of clothes on hangers etc. hiding it. They also have a 15 gun version, 700mm wide. The door hinge is on the right hand side.

I was looking for the same. Bought an “ultimate gun safe”…..more like ultimate shite - and they are a dodgy company (if you phone the number you get a massage parlour -no joke!!)

BTW, if the right hand door hinge is the wrong way around for you, turn it upside down, the top box becomes a bottom box, just put a bit of carpet on it. The internal holders for cleaning rods and such then aren't quite right, but still usable, or just cut them off. I know about this, with my upside down one.

These sorts of adjustments are minor.

The Brattonsound RL+ range (for scoped rifles) are 350mm deep. Without top box, they come in under you height - and the 7 gun version is only 400 wide. No reason not to match up a shotgun cabinet alongside it to fill the space. I find two safes allows me to manage my guns better than one large one. Gives you options to fit the space too - just have a separate ammo cabinet, maybe somewhere else as it can be a lot smaller

Thanks all for advice so far.
I can see that two safes are a good idea for added security and using up the space available, but prefer the idea of one large safe for having a large door opening to reach into to minimise cabinet dings on my kit.
I have found quite a few models that are really close, including quite a few that are ideal at 1450mm tall with a locking top box, but they tend to be too deep. Decathlon do a couple that are the right height and depth but are too wide.
It looks like the custom safe might be the answer, or possibly even having a custom secure door fitted to the brickwork instead. However, the word custom tends to be synonymous with expensive!

You may have already clocked this, but worth noting it’s not just depth but how the rifles sit within the safe that’s a variable worth checking . For example the BS titian safe, whilst apparently holding 10 guns, requires them to be lent against spacers on the back and left and right sides of the safe; which means you have to take out the left and right ones to get into the back ones. Other safes have 2 rows back and front, but worth checking to see if these leave enough space for large scope bi pods etc. Personally I think a wide safe that has only 1 row and a deep rear, leaving an extra space in between guns to stop bolts rubbing stock’s (I.e getting a 20 guns safe to store 10 guns / rifles) is what I will ultimately purchase in time to help manage these variables. It’s hard to do online / with trying out in person first.

Absolutely agree.
My Infac has two rows, but the back row is no use to me as the foam depth only allows for shotguns or unscoped rifles. Also, the front row has to be removed to allow access to the back anyway. I just use the front row which allows the scopes to have plenty of space around them at the rear.

A couple of strips of self adhesive foam rubber, such as draught excluder, on the inner edges of the door reveal will soften any contact with your guns.

Good point. I have done that and got the rifles in protective socks to protect as best as I can but inadvertent bumps still occur.
