Having a good online browse for reloading gear I stumbled across these lehigh defence copper bullets.

They are considerably less expensive than barnes at aprox £86 for 100.. instead of my locals £55 per 50.

Has anyone tried these, what did you think?

Tried the 145Gn in .284", very accurate in my rifle on paper BUT ....... meat damage on a fallow sorrel 115Lbs in the larder was unacceptable as the petals broke away after the first impact and showered the inside opposite side of the carcass in shards of copper with a large exit hole. OK; this is only a 1 off experience but I saw no reason to continue with them. The beast was shot at 120m and the muzzle velocity was around 2780 fps. They are named "Controlled Chaos" for good reason in my experience. Now using Fox bullets with only good things to say about them. As the saying goes " You can't buy experience, but you usually pay for it" Others may have better results.
