Lead free .303 British

I’m now looking at a lead free option for the Enfield, anyone used these and with what powder please .

I have been looking at the same thing. I am mindful of the 18 tonn service pressure, often U.S. data is for p14's so higher. The mixture of variables really needs proofing for a no.3 or no 4.
When non lead becomes mandatory I guess I will be pushed into sorting out a load.

Lehigh defence do them in .311. Cdsg had some in stock but the Barnes seem pretty thin on the ground. My 54r is due a rebarrel and I think I'll be going for a 30cal tube so I can use 308 bullets instead of .310/.311

Thanks for the info chaps, I’ll try these first I think then go onto others if I can’t get them to work, any suggestions on powder?
Mines an MLE so has a much longer barrel than the more common SMLE.

My experience of TSX is not the best. Beautifully accurate but on roe/muntjac they seemed to pass straight through with no expansion and lots of runners.

I now stick to GMX (now CX) or preferably Sako Blade

It's a shame, I've designed 145grn hollow points and match rounds for 303/54r I just can't get them machined

I did some pretty (for me) extensive load workup with the Barnes 150 (.311), the Lehigh Defense Controlled Chaos 123 (.311), and the Shock Hammer 150 (.312). I found the Barnes less accurate in my two rifles (one a 1917 SMLE No.1 MkIII all original, and another a rifle I rebuilt using a 1918 No.1, MkIII action and barrel). I'm not sure there was much to say on the original SMLE due to using iron sights but the rebuilt 303 preferred RL-15 (although I did try H414 and IMR8208XBR). My personal preference was the Hammer Hunter Shock Hammer 150gr (I'm using it on a bear hunt in a few weeks). The loads were

I can dig out my other numbers if they would be helpful for the Barnes. I don't know if the Hammers are available in UK -- they have worked well for me.

We have made non lead in 303 in Peregrine and Fox Classic Hunter
First ones for a H&H Double rifle we regulated the ammo for (reverse engineer the ammo don't feck with the rifle!)
The rest for No3 Mk1 SMLE and N04 Mk2 both two groove and four groove

155gr 303 in Fox Classic Hunter
152gr in Peregrine

Powder from memory was RS52 and N140

We have stock of both
