Hello,

I really want to buy some all leather hunting trousers. I have large thighss and don’t want a jean cut trouser.

Just wndering if anyone one has any recommendations in the approx £150 mark. I don’t fancy paying 200+ for a pair of trousers (like the deer hunter Strausbourg).

Thank you

why ???? Hot, sweaty. But ok for certain night clubs...

dont be so rude and common above !... some countries ie germany etc use leather for hunting in alot..

my advice would be to save up and buy once.. then you have a quality product that will last many many years..

A mate as an upholsterer had some high grade sofa leather left over. I got him to sew a leather panel onto the full length of the fronts of my 'hay carting trousers` to stop the cut ends of the hay wearing the trousers out .Those trousers went into being my hunting pants and were fantastic in the blackberry patches and stopped the thorns penetrating my legs.

need cheap leather trousers?

Young man, there's a place you can go. I said, young man, when you're short on your dough. You can stay there, and I'm sure you will find
Many ways to have a good time.

I just can't remember the name of the place.

Leather breathes, latex doesn't, er according to my dominatrix!!

I could expand, but I'm a little 'tied up' at the mo....

Thank you for the sensible replies. For the other ones, glad I managed to give you opportunity for the attempt at banter!

Barbed wire about your 'areas' (possible anagram/play on words there), Cadex?
I hope you and the 'friendly farmer' manage to patch things up!

Joking apart, I have a pair I bought around 30 years ago, I fully expect them to last another 30 year at least, and though they were about £170 at the time back then, they remain a great (thornproof) investment. You pays yer money, and you takes yer choice...

You should check out Cactus gear made in New Zealand. The super trousers are 100% canvas. Waterproof, thorn proof etc. Had mine for 5 years, wear them hunting and to work and they are still going strong. They get better with age.

This ^^^ . A couple of layers of 12oz ripstop is quite robust. Nothing to stop you sewing it to existing trousers. We did once, many years ago, attempt to make a pair out of it, almost damned near impossible to walk in them (that however, could have been a lot to do with never making strides before) :-D
