They are a nightmare to get hold of over here for some reason, I contacted Leupold and they said to contact the distributors here to get them taken in.

Maybe worth a try, I was lucky to find a few high and extra high sets for what I needed.

Thanks, I did email Viking Arms and waiting to hear back

If you mean this style then I believe I do. Not 100% sure if they are high or medium though. 100% 30mm.

Will have to measure them when I am back on the 5th.
How are they "QR", if you don't mind my asking?
They look (to me) like the type that have to be twisted individually into the bases to lock in place, so with a scope in situ they can't be removed.
Curious to know.

I have two sets of these: they are QR by dint of the fact that they lock in place with a paddle type tightener on the QR base which when moved into position grips the stem of the ring in place with a roller. They don’t move once tightened.

Thanks for the explanation 👍
Only QR if couple with a specific type of base, then?
I have the same rings (I think, judging by the pic) but they're not QR in my bases.

The QR version will have a scallop near the bottom join where the little roller moved by the paddle lever meshes in and grips the rings in place - make sense?

If you want some photos, I’m happy to take some if that assists?

If you’re thinking of buying some I can recommend them. Some fits for the bases are difficult to source in the UK, they clamp direct to the rifle receiver so there is no universal fit.

Slightly different design to the standard and need to be mated to the QR bases. Work pretty well but rust (Surface only) like a blaser barrel.

I have two sets with differing finishes. The older pair are traditionally blued and the newer pair have an odd sort of parkerised type finish I e not seen before. Can’t say I’ve had problems with rust with either yet, but scope rings and sling swivels are usually the first places to show light rust so I always give them a light wipe with an oily rag before putting them away.

If you ever take the rings off the scope you will see what I mean.

I use them on 3 rifles and have had a set for 15 years - absolutely faultless and really are return to zero, they make cleaning and transporting the rifles far easier.

Very good if you can get hold of a set and I would highly recommend them.

If anyone is looking for a set of Leupold Quick Release 1" medium height (.770) matte rings, I have a set that are in very good condition but have been languishing in a drawer for some years. I will let them go for £25 plus postage.

Part #49974

The set I have measure 1” so looking at the Leopold website this makes them 30mm super high rings. High rings are 0.9” apparently. I don’t know how much 0.1” matters to you?
Thanks, and sorry but I have only just seen your message . The rings are actually for my son and I am sure .1 of an inch is not a problem, but as no high rings were available he has ordered a set of medium to see if he can squeeze into those. If he cant , how much would you like for your super high rings ? thanks again
