Three of these little chaps popped up on my feeders this am - they look to be very young which is odd for February in NI. Can someone identify this one please?
Thanks.
I would lean towards a female Linnet, the Twite even in winter tends to have a yellower bill. Both of them tend to fly in flocks together so always a pain trying to differentiate between them at range.

We have good numbers of linnet - males easy to ID - females not so to me anyway
My birding friend ID d a flock of over 200 on some wild bird cover on Sunday
