Some of the more astute members may recall that Chez FB rehomed a little labrador last year - she is called Rua and apart from the odd little “incident” has slipped seamlessly into our home and our hearts. I needed new slippers anyway…
As is the case with all our “children” they have been lavished with TLC in extremis, indeed to the point that I rarely get so much as a condescendinggrimace smile from Brunhilde aka The Sainted Lady FB.
Soooo very recently Rua was introduced to Pheasants and shooting of same; to say she took to it would be an understatement - wot fun she and I have had; it fair brought a tear to my eye to see her working; initially a tad “cautious” about things like brambles, thorns and….. shock horror….barbed wire but overcome her initial
reluctance she has and what joy it has brought me!
So wot could go wrong lads? Barbed wire that’s what and four inch tears along her back which despite mytantrums pleas SWIMBO has decreed must stop - period! Now! Never to be repeated…. You get the drift.
By now you will have realised that ol’ FB is in need of some urgent assistance from the SD massive. All I can think of is a jacket of some sort - thornproof for Rua (and Kevlar for me).
Anyone out there resorted to protection from all that the great outdoors can throw at their beloved or even their wife/partner and are willing to suggest an appropriate vest/jacket/armour please?
