I've been lurking around this site (and others) for a number of years now and finally thought I would join. The family are moving to West Sussex (from midlands) and I'm looking at connecting with others in the area for all shooting matters and advice.
I shoot a .223, 17hmr and .22 (semi and bolt). I love gallery and PPL shooting at my current club and looking at finding another local one that is equally as well run/friendly/safe/inclusive. I also do quite a bit of vermin control with the rifles and SGs - rabbit, squirrel, fox, rats (air rifle), crows etc. I'm a BASC member and looking at joining the NRA perhaps.
I've run a game shoot on the permission I have (including vermin control on feeders/bird enclosures etc) for a couple of years and looking to make new connections with shooting folk in my area.
I don't believe shooting is reserved for the rich and snooty. I'm all for tradition, but I think too many are stuck in the 1800s. I'm also not into the rambo type guns although have enjoyed shooting a number of different exotic things at the club.
I'll not be asking for permissions on the site but if folk want some company, I am happy to get out and about and help with various jobs if it means I can tag along (with or without a FA).
I am currently looking at full bore clubs in Sussex and it seems Bisley might be the only answer (unless others know of a full-bore club or at least a club that offers good gallery/multi target TMP etc)?
