Looking about a accurate .22lr "tac driver"

I love the 22LR calibre but I have never found them half as accurate as most people say. At least not with subsonics. Most are good out to 50 yards but they open up part 75 and at 100 they aren't accurate enough for hunting use. I have tried a few better ammo packs too- SK rifle match along with a few others.

Would anyone mind showing subsonic groups of 22LR at 100 yards ? Is MOA or 1.5MOA routinely possible ?
I will but will not be until next week if we get a break in the rain

22lr cz457 I have is so accurate with subs eley & norma even at 100 + yards

Really ? How accurate roughly?

IMO you need several 5 shot groups at a rangefinder confirmed 100 yards- at which point I will get very excited. IME you're doing well if you can get below 3" at this range.

If you're talking about SS HP, no it's not possible. In a string of 10 shots, there will be flyer or two, usually markedly lower MV and thus dropping 5 or even 10 centimeters below the main group. And there is no consistent way of sorting the ammo.

Consistent MOA should be possible when everything is aligned (top notch gun, conditions, shooter, rests, shooting procedure and selected top tier ammo).

Exactly. For every 1" 100 yard group most people get with their gun- they get a 5" one too

Brian Litz is doing some studies at the moment, trying to determine why flyers occur when Doppler Radar says B.C and MV are within tolerance.

Listened to a podcast recently featuring ACE Barrels (who made barrels exclusively for VooDoo until recently). A lot of work went into determining the exact internal dimensions and twist rate. Being pure lead, the 22lr bullets are quite sensitive to this.

Would assume the Olympic 22LR rifle and pistol makers have cracked this but they are not shooting 'long range' for the most part.

Sadly the understanding of 'average' has turned into 'best ever when all the planets aligned and indoors'

No, you are missing the point and need to try long range .22.

There are some exceptionally good shots with their .22 rimfires. At Bisley I recently watched a lady shooting her .22 with peep sights, jacket and sling, hit within an inch of the bull at 300 yds. She struggled to carry away all the trophies that she won.

heres are some i did with mt 22lr tikka t1x all standard, tested loads of different bullets, all subs and cci subs and eley subs came out on top the same, Winchesters a close 3rd, probably got some better
groups but no photos,

With PCP you can all but eliminate MV variations. And I've understood the most dedicated shots even manufacture their own bullets (or should they be called slugs?), sparing no effort to make them as uniform as possible.

A couple of years old now, standard Sako Quad, Eley Tenex (two different batches), 50m.
First target, first and last groups ten rounds all others five rounds. Gives a good idea of average group size and therefore consistency. No one group wonders or best evers.

After the shooter the ammunition is the biggest deciding factor on accuracy/grouping/consistency, a good rifle helps.

Brilliant. But IME groups can really open up on 22LR at 100 yards. Disproportionately so. Any idea of group size for 100 yards ?
