Schultz and Larsen micro 35mm muzzle mounted. Not sure if they still make them for .308. Super compact, but I don’t know how effective.

Schultz and Larsen ultra venom 38mm over barrel. I have one, seems to work fine.

DPT are quite slim……but rather utilitarian and ugly. I’ve only got Stalon mods, not slim but great looking and really effective.

What scope have you got?

With a 18" barrel on my 308 I can see the bare barrel on any mag below 5 anyway. With a Stalon mod I can still see it at the same mag levels. Yes it's in the field of view but it doesn't obscure anything that matter really.

Mu 38mm over barrel Schultz and Larsen on 22inch barrel is just visible at 3x with a 44mm Objective mounted very low.

ASE ultra jet Z is slim 40mm dia). So is my dpt. the ASE sl5 is chunkier but I never see it in my scope.

Think it depends on what mag scope you use
You will always see the mod with low power scopes less so higher the mag
