Looking for recommendations for .22 bolt action with a scope

^ This, my old Anschutz 1422 is with an RFD. Certainly pre-loved, silky smooth action and a lovely trigger. Ticks all your boxes for not much money. PM me for info if you like.
An Anschutz 1422D was my first .22rf and I still have it. They really are a 'proper' rifle, look lovely imo and very high quality - I also have a P94 Finnfire in a Range stock - I'd happily recommend either of these. I'm sure that CZ's shoot just as well (I had one in .17hmr briefly) but I think Sako's and Annies are just that bit 'nicer' - now where's my tin hat!

Many thanks for all your advice.

Further to my post #31 above, I have found this exact rifle for sale second hand on gunstar, and I am now the proud owner of a CZ 457 Synthetic with 16" barrel and a scope. My old bi-pod fits it perfectly. Job done :)

Thank you all again!

As above, I've bought a rifle now, also mine is the lighter barrel which makes the (bare) rifle weigh just 2.4Kg - I was looking for a lightweight option (I also have a BSA Century with a heavy barrel and wood stock). Haven't fired it yet, I plan to shoot it for the first time this Saturday. The scope is a low-cost Chinese device, and by the looks of it was fitted to the rifle by the previous owner with some haste prior to the sale, probably replacing an expensive scope that the owner chose to keep (there are no iron sights on this model and so the rifle is useless without a scope). I was considering to replace it, but I thought it would more sensible to wait until I had a chance to use the rifle and see how it shoots before spending more money on it.

I have a T1x an have just bought a Ruger Precision
For target only work id use the Ruger and tune the **** out of it

Just remember, if that cheap Chinese scope is a centerfire scope, the parallax will be set for 100yds. Which could give you a false accuracy assessment at 50yds, unless your stock weld is absolutely the same each time (so that your eye is looking from the exact same position). Hopefully it has an adjustable parallax, but figure I'd toss it this out there in case it doesn't.

I also have a spare Tasco 4x20 scope, it's a very basic unit but good on the range. In fact, the target you can see in my Avatar photo is the result of 50 rounds at 50m using this scope (rifle on bipod). So I can also try that. But as said, let's see first how the gun behaves before buying expensive scopes.....

You‘ve read about the rest now just gather yourself and admire the best - CZ’‘s finest in 22LR.
This young lady always turns heads at the range and for casual target work or general hunting is superb!
