As an instant expert myself I can not see the link between the length of membership/ number of posts,knowledge and expertise ( please enlighten me if I am missing something) Being an established poster seems to endow some with special powers, it has for post no13 " instant experts on here" a poster who has condemned every major band of 22 ammo as inaccurate and has now moved on to" a laser guided death ray" obviously not an instant but a time served expert? This" instant expert" term seems to be used by the self appointed as a derisory term for those newer members who dare to voice a different or contradictory opinion to theirs

.As for as the forum( clue is in the name) most of us are adults excluding those with death rays and we are not all going to agree and I certainly don't have any desire to skip off into the sunset holding hands with any of you. There seems to be a tendency to ridicule or belittle those with differing views rather than persuade by strength of argument.

Off topic that's part of how a normal conversation develops.

New members and those seeking advice need civility and sound experienced based advice not a stupid one word answer and insults.

I think shooting is a bit like sex and can be divided into three groups :- There are those who constantly think about it , talk about it even more in an effort to convince others that their getting more the their fair share but in reality wouldn't know what to do if it was handed to them on a plate.
The second group don't need to convice anyone, their banging away(shooting pun), know what their doing and getting plenty of it
The third group think that sex is a solitary, single handed activity.
People will have to make their own judgement as to what category they fit in.

I would assume I am covering the same ground as others its difficult to keep up, not being a full time s/d instant expert. I also have to study hard so that I can become a professor of knowitall as well as an instant expert.

I apologise to everyone (almost) for any offence, Truffle hunting for deviation, the skipping off into the sunset brigade, those offended by the word sex ,everyone.

paul o post 30 -excellent very funny. Being a knowitall arsehole is quite like being a knownothing plagiarist cut and past arsehole only more rewarding

tackb post 104 if a chopper is what I think it is that must make you a chopperess

I asked the brothers at Abridge about a laser guided death ray and they said that it was a prohibited weapon but they had heard that they were available under the counter at Toys r us.

I dont think nothings been aimed at you on this subject at all maybe your getting paranoid, ive not condemend every major brand of 22 ammo either or given advice on reloading only what works for me or doesn,t im pleased that im in your thoughts and you feel the need to have conversations about me at Abridge. Just wondering when are you opening a vetinary practice ? i feel for the vets on here who had to endure your comments regarding their profession and they managed to be polite and civil with no bad language used !!

PS I apologise to all the vets on this forum ,vets past and present vets every where. Their prices and make up are reasonable, in truth If they were doubled they would still be more than reasonable.(is it true that if you cross your fingers behind your back any thing you say doesn't count)

Hands up yes I've made comments regarding how many posts a person / persons may have posted
it was taken totally out of context & classed as the number of posts versus experience / expertise type deal

not once did I ever state that post counts were related to such ..... I may be daft but I'm not f'in stupid



oh & I curse too :-)

things change everything does , including clubs or places or even websites..... As something gains popularity it can inevitably attract the odd ****.

But out I still see past most & see what the likes of this site offers .... & the positives far outweigh the negatives

that's fine by me I don't think its any more abusive than the original comments, seems a little one sided that you can imply that someone is a knowitall arsehole or call some one a chopper and have no redress
