Lost Permissions due to lying neighbour, anyone in North West could help?

Hello All,

As you might be able to see from my other post, a newly moved in townie neighbour has made a false claim against me and I have now lost two of my three permissions, resulting in my acreage going from 300 to 12 literally overnight. Luckily one of the landowners has got my back and told this guy to get lost, but he only has 12 acres and whilst I have an open ticket, it's suitable for rimfire only and I wouldn't feel comfortable shooting my .308 there.

These permissions were literally 10 mins up the road! Haha. so is life. I wondered if anyone had any stalking around the North West (I'm based in Marple, South Mancheser but basically the Peak District) they'd be willing to share - or if anyone knows of syndicates or friendly farmers in the area?

I realise the answer to these sorts of threads is - get knocking on farmers doors!! - however I thought theres no harm in asking!

Cheers all,

As above, a high seat would be your answer!

I lost a cracking wee 160 acre permission on my very doorstep a few years ago too. The farmer across the valley offered my guy money and ended up taking out a paying guest 🤬I was seething, but there's little you can do about it sadly. What goes around comes around though, and hopefully you'll pick something else up soon

Life has a habit of unsettling you when your settled .Lost a perm a year ago that is now a solar farm .Same farmer has bought a place elsewhere and now in on that .
One door closes another opens mate .
