Lymph tick removal

Managed to get the smallest of lymph ticks on my hip. Its too small for my smallest tick tool. Other than waiting till it gets bigger which will increase the risk what can i use?

TIA

Removed 36 attached of the bastards from the last highland trip! PharMarcy gave some fucibet to treat it externally.

They were too small to remove with a tick removal tool so used a sharp knife.they don’t have the risk of spreading Lymes until they start feeding on you

Hospital, only if signs of Lymes!

Ps, this happens to me circa 3-4 times a year for many years. Once frost hits, we are good 👍🏿

I wouldn't head to hospital for that

If you really can't grab it with needle tweezers then Scrape with a sharp edge.
Laminated paper or knife blade etc. anything thin

Spent a week on the lakes this year and I'd never have been out of the hospital if I went for every one

Nymphs are less likely to have Lyme since they have fed less times right?
(I heard it somewhere but sounds like just convincing yourself it'll be ok)

Question:

Assuming no itching symptoms to alert one to possible tick strike, how would you ever know one or more of the wee barstewards were not nicely embedded in your back?

Yeah and its a saturday and A&E will be mental busy. Its too small but the mrs is persevering with my mora (disnefected obvs) to dig the thing out

Yay she got it, could have picked it up over the last 3 days. Will keep an eye over the next few days. Thank you for the swift responses.

i always give myself the once over and get the good lady to check the bits i cannot see. I always feel a discomfort when they attach.

They do tend to latch on so even when your dutiful Wife's excavations have exposed the critter, it's still advisable (post #7) to get a pair of really good tweezers around it for final extraction.

Have you tried covering them with a blob of vaseline? This is supposed to suffocate them so they let go. Trying to prise them off and smashing them in the process doesn't sound like a good idea.
We get them from the badgers and foxes that frequent our garden.
