The wind farms off suffolk ive fished several times no issue with patrol boats, the crew boats are only about during the day.One of the biggest problems has been large factory boats dredging the seabed. These are totally indiscriminate in what they catch and pretty much destroy everything on the sea bed. The sea bed is breeding ground and nursery for many young fish.
Yes they have to throw back the by catch, but by the time that they do its all dead.
One of the biggest benefits of all the offshore windfarms is that are complete no go zones for any boats with patrol boats keeping everone out. Seabeds are recovering rapidly and they are becoming valuable nurseries for fish stocks.
The enlargement of one set was stopped, this would of impacted commercial fishing.
The rest was built on an area rarly fished.
I would be suprised if windfarms arent fished
