I've found McLeods very good as well. Used to use Grahams in Inverness, till the prices got silly and the quality of some work done on my shotgun by them was terrible. After that i took a trip to Gregor's and have used him ever since.

I put my M695 into him for shortening and screw cutting for a T8, it was cut too short so the T8 was touching the forend before it took on the threads!

A little discussion with him and he put a stainless Border barrel on it.

Over the years i have bought a few guns of Gregor great service,but last year i got a price for a new swaro scope from him and at the time he couldnt look at.

Bought from Uttings had it next day before 10am great service as well.

I have bought a couple of scopes from them and the last one was purchased in September 09, i found them cheaper than most shops and they had it delivered to Wakefield by the following mornig, super service!

i have bought a rifle from them in the past and also a scope on a separate occassion. My FAC arrived on a tuesday and i called him that morning the rifle was posted that day and with a local RFD the following day. the service and price was great i would definately deal with them again no problem.

I've been selling bits and saving for a new S&B for ages, finally got the money together and another quick search on the net sees them going up out of reach again!
Called Macleods as a result of this thread and they had one for me at the old price.
Good service, it arrived the next day.

I've never dealt with them but would not hesitate to when i am after a scope when I've got my variation done for my stalking rifle. They have been recommended to me on here, pigeon watch, hunting life and UK long range you don't just get a reputation like that.

I had a S&B PMII (secondhand) from them. They were pretty efficient and the grading system that they use matched the condition of the scope well

nearly every year used to see friends up & around kingussie/newtonmore & it was rude not to pop up to granton on spey to ritchies its like aladins cave he to stocks everything you could ever want & more (save up before you go) only been once to Macleods didnt buy a thing but service & experience couldnt fault him shame he didnt open another branch down here in d&g id be his best customer..
