I am sick and tired of shite trailer boards. Light units let in water. Cables get broken. And as for the plugs - the plastic just breaks. And when you park the trailer, mice just eat the cable.

Just googling options. And came across these

No cables and when you finished using them just take them off, recharge and put back in case.

Just make sure you've got a really decent place to stick the magnets. A lot of trailers have aluminium panels, which isn't much help. Also, they can gradually slide down as you go over bumps, so it's always worth adding a bit of string or a cable tie so if they do bump off then at least you won't lose them.
 
Used them and get on fine with them.They also do a set with white lights in for marker lights.Also handy to keep a spare plug as when the antenna bit snaps or gets damaged it won’t send a signal to the lights.
 
I've got a wired set, £35 IIRC from Mole Valley Farmers.

So far, no issues with water ingress as they're reasonably well sealed LED units with glanded connections. Magnet strength seems to be ok too. The cable length is....generous, so keep some reusable cable ties on hand to secure the excess.

Depending on the amount of trailers you own though, the only real solution is to run hardwired lights in proper flexy conduit to at least slow down the rodents. I used to work as a vehicle sparky, so I have a large box of spares that I can raid to do this, you might have better ideas as to what constitutes a good use of your time :lol:
