Has anyone tried the combination above?
Thinking about getting the new uts Freyr&Devik and will be using the magnetospeed v3. From online pictures, the f&d looks slightly tapered. Will it still allow the magnetospeed to fit safely, or does it have too much angle?

Which model? It looks like some of them have flat bit at the barrel end and it might just fit there..

They are clearly tapered, all of them, front and rear. But mounting it on the rear section close to where the sections are screwed together the recoil should tighten the strap-on even more.

I think it will be ok where the brand label is. It is flat enough at that end to be far enough from the bullet trajectory and still produce reading. That model is not tapered the full length as most others are.freyrdevik1.webp

I’ve used that combination and it was fine, just need to mount the sensor well back and take your time to find the spacer that gives you the right clearance using the gauge rod.

Hi - I use a V3 on F&D FW149 and FW196 mods on .243, .270 and two .308 without any issues. I did eventually buy some of the red tapered spacers but in all honesty didn’t see any difference. I’m super impressed with the Magnospeed especially after faffing around on cloudy overcast ranges and indoor tunnel ranges with a F1 Chrony - the V3 just works reliably every time I go to use it.
