Magnum switch barrel actions?

I’m loving my 6mm Creedmoor custom barrelled action which I got from Josh at C2 that I dropped into an MDT ACC chassis but it taps out at about 1400y.

I’m looking at building something to go longer and wondered if anyone had any experience with switch barrelled actions. I think I want to start with a 300 PRC but wanted the option to switch to 338 Lapua Magnum or bigger later.

I’ve just taken my Bergara 6.5mm Creedmoor HMR Wilderness out of another MDT ACC chassis and thinking I’ll just buy a LA MDT ACC Premier main chassis and swap over the TriggerTech Diamond, butt stock, grip and weights with a new action and barrel.

Other than just buying a Barret MRAD or AI, is there an action out there someone could recommend to base this build on, I’m hoping to reuse as much kit (scope and rings for example) as I can!

Many thanks,
John

Didn’t think about a bull pup tbh. I’ve been blinkered on a REM 700 action as that all I’ve ever used! Thanks, I’ll have a Google.

Whats wrong with using a remmy or clone and just having a barrel vice and action wrench? Unless of course you want to be able to switch in the field or on the range, but even then it can be doable with a little bit of lateral thinking.

It’s a level of gun plumbing that I’ve not reached I guess.

I like the idea of being able to swap calibre in the field while keeping the rest of the equipment the same.

Looks interesting! I also found a REM 700 Terminus Action Zeus that has one torx screw then unscrew to swap when I followed that thread.
