Cracking setup. May I ask the combined weight of the rifle. I've just fitted a ckye pod and feel it may have just tipped the balance. I'm in the process if working out whether the adjustability is worth the extra weightThere are a few threads about the HNT26 on here already. As I've said previously, I like them a lot. I have 3 of the HNT26 chassis and 4 ACC chassis. MDT have really good support. The only time I ever had an issue was getting a magazine to fit with a 3 lug Rem 700 clone. I emailed MDT and they sent me 2 different mag release leavers for each of their chassis that I own and I received them from Canada to Australia in about a week.
No problem with durability - they have held up very well.

Standard model, single pull gen2. I did see they offer a lightweight version, is that the hunter you mention?Did you go with the ckyepod hunter or standard model? I’m using a ckyepod at the moment but find it very heavy and am awaiting a 150g carbon alternative from New Zealand that is designed around the ckyepod adjustments.
That’s probably down to people not torquing it to the right specifications. The durability issues I’ve read about are mainly about stripping threads, but I think that’s probably down to clumsiness rather than any issues with the product itself. Think I’ll go ahead and order one for my T3X CTR.

What brand is the bipod from NZ?

Thank you. Looks good, at a fraction of the price. I was tempted with the new tier one ELR V2. Again it has all the features at half the price but from experience, T1 always have some sort of fault that you either have to put up with, or buy an extra to rectify!![]()

More functionality with less weight. No other bipod will get you on target faster, easier and in any terrain. Unmatched height, tilt and pan adjustment. At that kind of money, I'd certainly want to handle one before going ahead and parting with your hard earned pennies. The durability issues I’ve read about are mainly about stripping threads, but I think that’s probably down to clumsiness rather than any issues with the product itself. Its been a while since we have had the rifle set up that way, so I dont recall the exact weight. But I think it was around 4kg. Not super light, but easy to carry on long walks through the fields and very good shooting. The carbon wrapped barrel was a bit heavier than we wanted, so we went with a lighter profile stainless barrel. Its great in the new setup.Cracking setup. May I ask the combined weight of the rifle. Yeah, the carbon wrapped barrel wasnt terrible, and the weight was manageable. But there was something screwy going on with the twist on that barrel. It was nominally a 1/10 twist and would tack hole with 180gn bullets, but anything heavier was very unstable and shot all over the target. We even tried some 200gn Bergers that were rated for a 1/11 twist and they would not shoot. So that was the main catalyst for the barrel change. We went to a 1/8 twist Shillen and it is going great.I’m glad you raised the fact carbon barrels aren’t light in certain circumstances.
As you say it doesn’t really matter the end weight as long as it carries right.
I took my Q Fix stalking with Sika Malc a couple of months ago. I currently can’t walk mush at all due to a serious leg injury. Malc was in believably accommodating. It wasn’t so much our traditional stalking but then going after Chinese Water deer really isn’t anything but. I had to get in and out of the car on a couple of occasions and folding the stock once the rifle is cleared and safe is such an advantage. Mack was most surprised the first time asking where my rifle was. Seeing as you probably won’t be able to get a Fix this stick appears to tick quite a few boxes.
