Mirror blind

Here are a few pictures of my homemade mirror blind. It was made with 6mm corex sheet some reflective film ,camo cloth and spray carpet adhesive. Not a perfect reflection but its to hide behind, not shave or put lippy on in. Works great for rabbits in a open field with a sub12 air rifle.

Hi All,
Thanks for the comments, To answer a few question... No I don’t have a secret source of reflective film. When I bought it it was £1 per meter x 61 cm wide. It is now £1.99 per meter. If I was going to do another I’d look at Mylar film (much cheaper) it won’t give a distortion free mirror but then it doesn’t need to. carpet adhesive spray or permanent photo adhesive would do for fastening on the film.
If you look around at local football, rugby,or race tracks you might be able to get the corex board for free if they are replacing the advert / sponsor signs.
As for moving a cross the ground... this is a static hunting screen and the mirrors are angled down so as not to reflect the sunlight. I’ve seen single stalking blinds but you’d have to be carful of the sun and as you can’t see through it I think it would be too hard to stalk quietly with one. Never tried though!
Hope this helps.
Andy

In bright sunlight they work ok as the angle they sit at reflects what is within about 8 feet in front of them. If the sun is low enough to be reflected you would be looking directly into it and be blinded by it anyway.
I also forgot to say that in wind I use camo para cord and a few stakes to hols it down. It’s no worse in the wind than a pop up hide.

To the guys suggesting the gimp suit I say“carry on “ who am I to judge what you do for thrills.:norty:
please don’t post pictures though!
