Aside of the issue of modifying your kit, As long as something to the effect of " The xxx calibre rifle AND moderator, shall be used for the shooting of" is on the certificate,............ simples!

Very simple, but what has that to do with my original post or subsequent entries :?:
However since you brought it up, my FC states 'The xxx calibre rifles, moderators and ammunition shall be used for the purpose of Deer control etc etc', no 'and' reference fireams and moderator in there, but means the same.

You might be as well to have the Remington re-cut for the M15x1 and get rid of the Wildcat. Depends how short the barrel is already I suppose or how often you want to have both rifles up and running simultaneously.

Ah I see, I'm getting a bit thick in my old age.
That is where I am ok, as my rifles and moderators are not linked in any way, just that they are for use for Deer control,
As in 'Rifles, moderators and ammunition' for use etc etc.

The Remington barrel is fluted and the present thread is from the muzzle to the beginning of the flutes, also it doesn't have a lot of 'meat' on it to allow a 15x1 thread to be cut without going back some way onto the flutes.
I did try the rifle the other day without the moderator, just to remind me of the 'good old days', it handles lovely without a moderator but the noise was just too much for me now !!
