Another very good british made (in somerset) mod is the Jim Baker Marauder mod - quieter than the T8, lighter, smaller (no reflection in the scope from the lamp), reflex style and stainless steel so no worries about rotting out.

They come in 4 sizes for all levels of sound reduction from .22/.17hmr to .45/.50(!) but you can apparently use the smaller/lighter ones on the big cals too if you have a need for even less wieght and are less bothered about noise.

That said, mine is bloody brilliant and the best I've tried so far..

I am very happy with my Spartan mod from Third Eye Tactical.

​It's quiet, about half the weight of my previous T8 and strips for cleaning.

I had a DM80 last time - it was bigish and heavyish but it did a good job of moderating.

Ive just picked up my new Sauer 101 from Ivythorne and was stuck on which mod. The CCM4 was light but long and fragile and the SL5 was small and short but heavy and robust - I was torn and couldnt decide - what I really wanted was somthing in the middle...

Then Steve showed me one of these which had just come in - an Aimzonic Compact. Small, short and light with a 5 year warrenty. We slapped it on, took it out and bingo it worked, at 210g it doesnt upset the balance of the gun like the SL5 does and its so small it doesnt make the gun 'look' front heavy. Its semi stripable, you can drop the rear bolt cover off to get to the baffles but they dont remove. The manufacturer recommends a soak in parrafin once a year and a through dry out after each trip.

Worth looking at.

ive had a couple of T8s but now have a PES T 12 ,noise reduction just the same as the T8
again non strip able but the T12 is stainless steel ,also the T12 is alot slimmer and longer than the T8 so the rifle stays put
on your shoulder more so than with my T8
i love my T12 as you can see
