Money saving tips from a Cheap Barstard

many years ago was a 'scam' that enabled people to save money on their phone bills..... (it works just as well on gas and electric) if the advice/instructions were followed.
people were charged the cost of a stamp to apply for a means of cutting bills to zero, so they sent in a SAE plus an extra stamp. in return they got the form and the instructions to complete it and post it to the relevant address.... it was a form requesting your connection/supply to be cut off!
IT WORKED

however some did think it was a scam and tried to have the people doing it done by the police.... no offences, it did what it said it would do

The parcelforce service is crap. I sold something and it’s been in the hub about 3 weeks. I have put a claim in and just waiting. They don’t give two hoots that I’m out of pocket

Ive stopped buying special oils like WD40, bike oil and 3in1 and just use engine oil one of those small ancient pump oiler cans. Gun oil is the exception because it has extra anti rust chemicals in it.
Engine oil operates when it's very hot, that's what it's designed to do, it's very sticky and gums up anything mechanical operating at ambient temps. General-purpose oils like 3in1 are for operating at ambient temperatures, WD40 is not an oil, although loads of folks think it is. If you want to see how sticky engine oil is just wipe a tiny bit over your rifle bolt with a rag, then see how it operates, try it on a cold night foxing :banghead:

Yep 65p a litre apple juice some yeast and 5 spoons of sugar gets a gallon of gods finest cider .
Beating on a Sloe riddled farm gets the ingredients for a great winter warmer too.
Not used gun oil for years ,sewing machine oil far cheaper and it works.
Tools come from car boot sales ,hand drills a quid ,brickie hammers 2 for a quid and my demi John's cost the same.
Books you can get boxes of for pennies at charity fairs and car boots.
I made some turbo cider from cartons of 5p apple juice years ago . After two weeks it smelled like a public toilet on a busy Saturday afternoon. After two months it was quite a pleasant drink . After forgetting that it was in the loft for two years , it tasted like very expensive champagne.

Fair enough. As described I do use proper gun oil for the rifle. Most of the things that require oil its no big deal what oil is used or if it gets sticky. And I have lots if it lying about !

Its all about saving money, I read and use the guardian, don't need toilet paper, just a stout nail in the wall to hang the paper on, i was thinking of building an outside loo, so i couldn't sit there all day reading, double whammy, save on electric, toilet paper and eyesite, whats not to love.
In 2013 I spent 3 months in Pune India, what's toilet paper?

Encourage the family to eat game more often. …A slow cooker is a fantastic way to save coin , slow cooked roe shoulder or neck, 2 cans of chopped tomato, seasoning , carrot and onion. Venison is free if you shoot and the other ingredients about £2.50.
