Mounting system for Win Mod 70

What optics mounting system works for a Win Mod 70 HB Varmint?

Warne rings and mounts But you have to trim the rear right hand corner of the mount, as the bolt hits it.

I have a Winchester Coyote Light .308 Mod 70 and have fitted a Ken Farrell 20moa one piece base with warne mounts

Been using a Leupold set on my 7mm mag,as good as any with out going overboard on the $$$$$`s

I don't know the answer to your question, but I do know that I would not buy Warne mounts or any other vertically splitting mounts. They are a real pain to work with if things don't line up.

egw rail then you can have any weaver style mounts you want. on mine i had leupold weaver 2pc bases and warne rings, also had tps rings which are the dog's bits,

hillver windage adjustble bases also fit
