Always had cheamue welly`s but after having the last 3 pairs leek well before they were worn out kind of put me off the brand.
So ive gone for some cheapo Tay Muck boot not bad for £70. Dont think the zip will break in these plus i can get 4 pairs for the price of the leather lined jobbies,lol.

Just sent my Muck boots back to the vendor to be replaced under warranty as they split at the ankles after 4 months, and were letting in water. I wear Chameaus for shooting / stalking, and got Muck boots for walking the dogs, but wished I had got another pair of Chameaus to be honest... Live and learn...

Iv had my Chams for the past 3 years, the zip neoprene ones. Never had a problem. Treated then well and they last a lifetime!! In my mind they have been worth it

I've cheaped out and bought Muck Boots over Cham's twice and each time the fabric of the ankle has worn through in a very short period of time leaving the hard ankle cup to blister the back of my heel. I've gone back to the French boots as they have lasted for years and even though exposed to farmyard muck and agri' chemical disinfectants they have out lived the Mucks by more than the cost the multiple pairs of Mucks I'd need in the same time. In fairness to Muck Boots they do a number of sole types and I've had no traction issues with the deep treaded aggressive types.

I get to wear wellies all day on thee old farm. Had a pair of muck boots but didn't last that long because the backs wore out of them inside and became very uncomthy. Had some zip up chameau's and the zip went pretty quick and they weren't that warm either. Back to cheaper boots at the mo, dunlop's £60 till I can find something worth the money.

I use grubs stalker and find them very good with good ankle support and vibram sole

Very comfortable, but mine look a mess now. Not good for walking over thick heather or clearfell as the outer surface pulls easily and can puncture. Once blood gets on the neoprene it stays on, peat also stains them easily. Made the mistake of chainsawing some wood in them the other day now I've got two boots full of chippings that I can't get out as the inner lining is like velcro!!

I like my muck boots for walking the dogs and standing at the peg/butt in the very cold weather but not for stalking.

Had leather lined Hunters x2 which were superb and lasted about 7 years each, however the last pair I bought were a terrible fit and leaked ( I believe they are no longer made by Gate of Dumfries) hence the muck boots. Never tried Le Chameau.

When beating or stalking I always wear Black Islander boots along with gaiters - warm, waterproof, comfortable, long lasting and offer good support on rough ground.

They are a nice warm comfortable boot, but I agree with earlier posts - tread wears down quickly, and mine split above the instep after a few months.

Ok for standing around on clay grounds keep your feet nice and toasty just as long as they are dry before you put them on , no good for long treks in , get most use out of mine when out on the back of the quad bike lamping

My findings, they will keep your feet warm,no probs, the heel rubber is a little soft,wear on grass act ok,but would wear down around a yard if worn
every day.Can be punctured,but there again so can other wells,fitting size is your shoe size, If you wear size 10 shoes order size 10 muck boots.
Would I buy again? yes because they suit my style of walking and general usage.
