Muntjac in Manchester

I live on the outskirts of Manchester, east Manchester . As far as I was aware there was no muntjac near us. However a friend sent me news clip of a muntjac found dead inn a tennis court in South Manchester wilmslow. I wasn't aware they had spread this far up. Has anybody else heard reports of any up this way.

Am not sure how to put pictures up but if you type in Google Wilmslow muntjac deer, the article comes up with a pic taken of the munty by the rspca with its head caught in the net. Normally it's general public say they have seen muntjac round here and always turns out to be roe, as we have a healthy population now. I was just interested to see how far they have travelled up.

I used to live in the Wilmslow area and still have family there, not heard of any yet but they were around Northwich for many years so it’s certainly possible.

Have memories of the old tip and rats the size of dogs!
