Muntjac knife in Stabilized Spalted -Beech

Bowland blades

Here we have the Bowland Blades Muntjac knife . This "one" is already spoken for but i will be doing another three imminently. Total Knife length 7 1/2", blade cutting length 3 1/4" , 2.5mm thick on the spine / tang. 7 1/2" total.
SF100 stainless 61-62 rockwell hardness via test .
Three are in early production to be handled in stabilized Spalted Beech, rendering the handle none porous and hard ( lining / figure is a natural and random thing and will vary on each)
Leather or Kydex option available for sheaths
Been testing and refining these in the field quite a while now and departed from my usual AEB-L stainless because i simply couldn't get it in 2.5mm . In most respects the steels could be called the same being that close . SF is however British made !
They wont be available on the Website for a while yet but you can see the prototypes being used on the deer on the Bowland Blades Facebook page .DSC_0716.webp

Handsome and very practical design. Offering both leather and thermoplastic sheaths is a nice touch.
Thanks , I dont do the leather just the kydex . I have a guy who does all my Leatherwork , indeed he makes for very many knifemakers , its just some guys in the trade seem reluctant to tell . It never mixed with my dirty blacksmith fingers

Last available blank now gone . Will be running another batch , not yet sure what i might do handles wise but it will be something nice. best leather or Kydex options . Got some Nice stuff recently out of stabilizing to collect
