You can huge rolls of the stuff. Probably enough to last the average user 20 years or more.
I had such a roll until relatively recently, about 3ft in diameter, but unfortunately it got damp and began to degrade, so I binned it. Otherwise I'd have gladly chopped off 50yds or so and sent it to the OP to keep him going.

That's the stuff I was looking for. We used to call it mutton cloth. Long rolls and was for next to nothing, my grandma use it for everything.
