I'm not presuming. I was going by what you said in an earlier post. But obviously you don't agree with your own post, which is good to know.
Personally I carry mine muzzle up, with the barrel taped if necessary. But watching other people carrying that way it is quite alarming how the muzzle moves about as the stalker moves about, raises binoculars, bends down, etc. It seems that the muzzle is only pointing in a truly safe direction when the person carrying it is motionless, standing absolutely upright.
Contrary to popular belief I don't know everything, so I don't know the answer to the rifle carrying conundrum. But I do know that muzzles believed to be pointing in a safe direction often aren't.
