Hello everyone, thanks for letting me join, Herewith my introduction message.
I live outside the UK, in Africa. I've visited the UK on a number of occasions, and had the privilege to go on a few stalks with a friend who stalks regularly. I've shot Roe and Muntjac, Muntajc being my favourite to hunt because they are so diificult in the thick wooded areas in Surrey. All deer were shot spot and stalk, with only binos and no thermals to locate deer, which in January time of the year is not easy.
I used a 243 on the stalks, and, what I did notice, and the reason for me finding this website, is the ammo made mince meat out the internals, and I was Googling the differences between lead and copper, which then got me onto rifle types and a liking of the 6.5x55 Swed. I've used a 6.5x54 Manlicher on Impala in Africa and this is wonderful calibre, relatively moderate velocities with good bullet. Hope to learn more from here and do some more stalking in the future.
Best wishes
