Soldering iron?
TBF, it owes me nothing; I must have had it for ten years or more. As luck would have it, I found a spare screw cap in the workshop that fits (not the hinged portion), so I stripped all that gubbins off, so it is good to go again, if a little ugly.

I didn't fancy breaking in a new, bright silver one, so I had a wander around Go Outdoors earlier. They have these, and they are nice, 8oz and in black or green.

I almost bought one but didn't, in favour of casting my net (on the net) a little wider when I got home, which I just did. I found these.

Grinding a couple of chef’s knives today.

Just as with tapering tangs I find that grinding an initial hollow grind makes the large flat surfaces easier to grind.
