Hi been looking at using vit n550 and online it states max charge is 50gr, is it even possible to fit that much powder in a 308 case, I thought they were full to brim with circa 47gr

Vihtavuori give up to 50.9 gr (n540).
I guess a long dropper might do it, but I’m like you and max out around 47/48 grains which is crunchy.

On the Vit data the max for most of the N550 loads is for a compreesed load, so yes it may exceed normal case volumes depending on case loading %.
