Need HW95 help - Gun is stuck cocked and will not fire or decock

Nicks got no ideas.

Could anyone point me to an install video detailing the trigger and safety installation in depth or take a video or photo of their own?

Some people saying the safety needs to be free when you install the trigger unit, nicks saying it needs to be pushed all the way in and then be captive.

Whatever I do, I can’t get the damn thing to work, been at it for three days now.
Found this chaps videos to be handy when I was fettling my HW95

There are 4 videos in total all on full strip down and rebuild on a HW95, poart 4 should cover safety and trigger installation.

Might be of use.

Thanks both
To be honest, if it works without the safety and chronos at a sensible figure under 12ft/lb. I would probably just give up on the safety and rely on proper safe handling when using it.
At the end of the day muzzle awareness is key in regards to safety and it is easy to de-cock and make safe.
There are an lot of Airguns in the world that don't have a safety catch.

Yea that’s my thought process too. Although I do like Light triggers on my hunting rifles so I do always like a safety. If I can’t get it to work I’ll just use it without the safety and settle on a heavier trigger pull.

Possible thought, had you already tweaked the trigger prior to fitting the TBT Kit?
Try increasing the 1st stage trigger pull travel and 2nd stage trigger release weight screws, obviously one at a time?

No I hadn’t touched the trigger settings.

Personally I would bin the short stroke addition, a 95 really does not benefit from it, the only one that does is the HW80 especially in .177, if I tune a Springer for anyone else, I will not fit them, try it without, add one power washer and check the power is under 12ftlb, just over 11 is fine, as they do tend to creep up after a while, I bet it works without the short stroke extension.

The issue is with the trigger/safety catch not the short stroke. It fires fine if I don’t fit the safety catch. I fitted one to my pro sport and it revolutionised it, so I’d rather keep it.

Get in touch with TBT, Nick or one of his team will talk you through it, they really do know their airguns.
If it's spring bound try cocking the rifle and pulling the barrel as far back as you can, then whilst pulling the barrel back as far as you can, use the other hand to push the safety button through.
Is it simply a tune kit or have you used their piston/seal extension to short stroke it?
Safety catch problems

Managed to get on a video call with Nick at TBT, what a legend, anyway he spotted the problem within about four seconds. The 'rear pin roller' is missing from the trigger casette! £4 replacement part from Chambers.
Looks like the casette wasnt in its proper place as the pin wasnt fitting flush in the hole and was loose, so the bit of the casette that engages with the safety wouldnt do it as there was too much slack on the moving parts and whenever i cocked the rifle it would get stuck or not engage
