Consistent preparation gives Consistent results.
I know some hate it but i've really enjoyed my reloading journey but I definitely do more than what some would deem necessary.
Neck turning, mandrel neck sizing and the graphite lube, when all used together definitely helped me maintain single figure s.d.'s more consistently.
Tho I know some definitely don't agree with this...

I do all the above, but use graphite powder, which I don't think has the required effect but only scientific testing will prove. Contrarily, I find increased neck tension gives better SD, but brings it's own issue of marking bullets during seating.
