I would firstly like to thank admin for accepting my membership. I reside in Dorset and have been shooting/Stalking for the past 35yrs and its great to be back out in the countryside doing what I most enjoy.

My current issue, I have a .308 Browning X Bolt and the trigger pressure is a nightmare, far too heavy. I have reduced the current grub screw as far as i can bearing in mind safety and its currently 3lbs. Ideally I would like to reduce it down to 1.5 - 2lbs.

I have been told that the M"Cabro trigger spring is a great option...! Trying to find a spring is like trying to find rocking horse .... Has any member had this issue and if so how they rectified it.

Much appreciated

Look for a drop in from the big names in the industry making after the market trigger units . Factory rifles , its not going to be the weight but the crisp break that your picking up . Personally i wont have a stalking rifle below 2 3/4 lb we aint bench resting and with cold, wet hands your just as likely to make a bad shot than a better one.
Also give thought to having an expert go over the sears ( though it can become more expensive than a drop in ) . IMHO ( without shooting the rifle) ,go off feel and not the measured weight ( weight just messes with the shooters brain )
