New Dark Engine BLADE IR Illuminator

It’s easy to just put a small piece of plastic shim (Or other such stuff) in the correct place in the mount to adjust the beam if using a non adjustable mount.
Ken.

Can anyone share a link to the mount needed to fix this to an Alpex please?

Currently I am just using the IR that comes with the Alpex. I am hoping this Balde will be significantly better.

Is it just that 30mm one on the right? What about the mount that the blade sits in?
this is what i’m using, work perfectly, i did put a spring loaded adjustable QD mount on the torch I’m running both NM torches and they work just fine
got a link for the mount please mate? 👍🏻

i’ll have a look when I get back home, it has a standard nut type torch fastener with a nylon spacer ring to fit the IR irrespective of the torch tube size, the qd unit fits on the picatinny via a push spring to fit then screw the nut to tight and it locks in 100 % solid or just leave it on the spring tensioner
i think i got mine from clive ward but will check

it’s worth giving clive a ring he will get you sorted 👍

Hi folks/ Clive, I’m currently running a black sun dark engine ID VCSEL on my C50, would a blade be an upgrade or offer the same performance ? Thanks

The C50 sensor regulates the amount of IR what us used , so if you what you have fills the screen etc there will be no advantage
Really like the compactness of the blade, my current does not completely fill the screen even when focussed right back.

If you want a very solid torch mount then use the Ant supplies short rail and put your torch in a Burris Zee Signature mount. Attach to rail adjust and tighten. It won't move. Alternatively Ludicrous Lumens do a very good mount.

How do you adjust / centre the beam?

Whys the reason for the Burris ring please mate? Are you able to move the torch about before tightening up or something?

Thanks for your help

The Burris Zee Signature rings have a plastic ball joint type insert that allows the torch to be moved around until it is pointing where you want and can then be locked into that position
The problem is that you have to buy a pair of rings
This adjustable mount from Ludicrous Lumens works just as well and is a good bit cheaper

Cheers

Because the Blade is so light in weight I bought one of the Ludicrous Lumens mounts to try. It works perfectly. Withstands the knocks and bumps of prolonged use in a Gator. If needed, which is rarely, can be adjusted one handed quickly.
