BASC’s new east of England stalking scheme provides members with the opportunity to stalk roe, fallow, muntjac and Chinese water deer across several locations near Newmarket.

The east of England stalking scheme offers newcomers to stalking and those with existing DSC qualifications access to accompanied or high seat outings for roe, sika and Chinese water deer, as well as muntjac. The initiative complements BASC’s three other stalking schemes in Baronscourt in Northern Ireland, Bowland in Lancashire, and Hampshire.

Is this actually a BASC scheme though?
Jim who runs DGVM has been running stalking and offering all that the ‘New’ scheme advertises for many years……..

The scheme is run by Deer Game and Vermin Management on behalf of BASC and operates on several estates around their headquarters at Chippenham near Newmarket. This and other info all detailed in the webpage Iinked to in OP.

never been so sure this was a good move for the org personally , yet it seems to be growing . its a big move even the wildfowling clubs feared this way back to wagbi stating .

Still nothing for Scotland Conor ?

As I understand it FE declined to renew the Hockwold lease with BASC or anybody else. A great pity as there was some interesting ground. Latterly Rob Minty (now at Elveden) was doing some of the guiding and he was impressive. DGVM is a very professional outfit but as we see on here not every novice knows what guiding and tuition is available, so BASC have made one sound source clearly available. (Other outfitters are available too).
