New DS gen three scope

Seems overkill, given virtually all the much cheaper electronic sights from Pard, Hik, etc include LRF and ballistic calculators. I "speak" as an owner of a Gen 1 DS which is a great culling tool at moderate to long ranges but frankly, the Alpex Lite LRF I have on my air rifle is probably all you need.
I had an interesting chat with a supplier of the new DS last week....
He has had to send 2 back in a week, due to mechanical rather than electronic failures.
Loose lenses in the DS both times.
Everyone has issues with QC.....but bit surprising from this manufacturer.....
And as per @wytonpjs - cheaper versions doing the same role may be a better option plus access to standard glass?
