Hi,

Anyone managed to have a look through a pair of the new Habroks?

From reading it seems the HQ35L 4k were the stalkers choice (from what I've read online)

How does the new model compare. Thinking about getting this all in one bino but just want some views from people who may have looked through them.

They will replace my rangefinding binos and Condor 2 thermal monocular.

Thanks

In all honesty having had a go with them last week..... keep your current combo.
They are better to use than the original ones regarding switching from thermal to digital, and better with the focusing wheel instead of separate... but.... they were still a bit fiddley getting focused especially when zooming in, and for someone like me (who uses premium binos... leica noctovid) the picture isn't as good as glass as I tend to use binos more than thermal (thermal just to spot heat source) it's an important factor.
If you are adamant about changing then I would say they are worth having.
To add.... I would have some for squirrel shooting!

The base mag is very high to make the poor thermal sensor look better in shops. In reality in the field this gives a 11m FOV at 100m which will drive you mad looking for deer at usual UK stalking distances. The HQ35 doubles with FOV making it a better option for stalkers. The HQ35 is still in the old format though at the moment, but expect this to change shortly knowing HIK

I am wondering if, sometime in the spring, they will announce a few more models in this new form. If so I'll wait...

I'm wanting to upgrade, purely for the FOV. They've served me bloody well and I'm not fussed too much about the quality of the thermal as it's the switch to optical that handles the ID.

For spotting over fields they're fantastic. In dense woodland my head movements are exaggerated because of the FOV.

The new Pixfra Draco looks very tempting though, just due to the cost saving

I spotted the Draco but not sure how they match up...

I will have a set of the MK1 HE25L 4K's for sale shortly. about 18 months old and they have served me very well - ditched my stan alone thermal and glass bino's shortly after I bought them and have had no regrets.

I unfortunately think the flood to the market of MK1 HE25's is going to mean we're all letting them go for about £6-700

The extra 600 quid you'd spend to get the mk2s from what I've seen isn't worth it.... you'd be better off spending it on going stalking!
