Sorry Kev for high jacking your thread but I must have my say about the NHS.
Well all I can say is thank goodness for the efficiency of the NHS.
Apart from my knee replacement a few years ago, a more recent situation proved to me that the NHS is as good as it gets.
November - heart attack, whipped in by Ambulance, Cardio thingy and stents put in, a few days in Hospital and right as rain again.
January Bowel Cancer discovered - May date for removal given, not before because of heart and stents not settled down.
May - in Hospital Cancer removed and Appendices at the same time due to appendices blockage during the Cancer procedure, - heart stopped too but got going again and after a few more days in Hospital back home.
Chemo sessions started and on the road to recovery now.
Had a coughing session over the week-end which caused a Hernia and now on the list to get that sorted. See a specialist about that tomorrow.
If any of those problems had happened anywhere else in the world I would either be dead or financially crippled.
