New T3x Ace game

So mines arrived at my local RFD and I’ll go and collect it tomorrow if my FAC arrives back otherwise I’ll just go and look at it.

Does anyone know of who makes a bipod adaptor for a standard Harris bipod? This things just cost me an army and a leg and the scopes jus cost me a kidney so I want to not have to buy a new bipod too especially as the bipod will only be used on the range or once a year on the hill.

You can get cheap ones from Amazon. They do the job well enough for your needs.

There is a wee grub screw in the fore end, which is the same thread as a normal sling stud. If you have a spare stud knocking about you can just spin the grub screw out and spin the sling stud in, and attach your Harris that way.

I use a Spartan so have the M-lok adapter for that on my Ace Game.

Thanks I picked it up today and saw that grub screw. I think I have a stud somewhere so will dig through my bits box before I go and buy one.

I can’t quite believe how nice they are in the flesh. I was worried after hearing some reports that they didn’t live up in the hand as they do in the photos. I think they’re better!

Fully fitted out and ready to go mine weighs in at 5.7kg ... not too obnoxious to carry around!

I have had both in 6.5. I now have the ACE target. Heavier barrel, good chasis and considerably less expensive.

Does the Tikka Ace Game have a stainless barrel under the ceracoat and how are people finding the synthetic magazine and the rifle in general ?

Held one at the Shooting Show for Foxes. .223 and it felt like perfection when stock was adjusted to fit. Thankyou.

The bronze cerakoted model is stainless under the cerakote.
The black chassis model is carbon steel

Just seen a Tikka Ace video - I was not sure but they said the Tikka T3x Ace Target and Game models, both feature hammer forged stainless that are often finished with Tungsten or Graphite Black Cerakote.

It was one of the sako videos that I seen it on.
Best to email GMK to be sure because sometimes they change things.

I wonder about the black chassis version as that guy from tikka says a blued barrel action .
Best to check if your buying that model

Both Tikka themselves and GMK say both models have stainless barrels regardless of what colour Ceracoat is used. Blue barrel I am not going for so yes. if you are ask as you say.

I have a brand new ACE game in hand, black annodised chassis, and blued barrel/action. But the bluing is not a traditional finish. It’s a very black non reflective finish.

Could be a black cerakote. You would know by looking inside the barrel

It’s not cerakote. Also, if you look on the bottom of the actions, stainless ones have an “S” engraved.
