New to me thermal scope

I was converted to digital scopes last year after being convinced that the Alpex was worth buying and I can honestly say that yes the Alpex is an awesome bit of kit and I have got on well with it. I do get annoyed with the battery running low but just carry an extra battery when out all day.
Now, I have just bought a literally brand new out the box never used pulsar duo dxp55 for my other rifle from a friend and although I look forward to using it, I get the feeling that it isn't going to be as simple to use as the Alpex. Zeroing it looks like a nightmare job what with both cameras needing to be zeroed separately. I'm off to the range today so wish me luck.

I can confirm it was a headache. Got there in the end but I don't feel as confident with it as my Alpex.

The trouble with it was the having to set 2 different zeros. I was using a 100m tube and a hot target which just would not come into exact focus no matter how much you messed about trying. I did bring it onto zero with both digital view and thermal view in the end but only time will tell if the settings etc are all saved and correct. I'll definitely be taking it back to the range to double check before using in the field. Overall though it's a nice bit of kit, fits well on optilok low mounts on my trusty 85. The picture is really good when not in a tube range and menu similar to that of my helion xp50 so I'm familiar with the layout of the menu etc. I think the ballistic calculator function will be a complete disaster in the field so I'll just forget that and go old school with a bit of judgement on distance.
Ive been totally spoilt by using the Alpex and it's in built range finder and ballistic adjusting cross hairs!

With thermal the best way to get it in to focus is pop it on high mag get the best focus you can then reduce and you find you have a very nice clean and clear image
